About Me

I am Chris: a driven tech professional who skillfully combines in-depth IT knowledge with inclusive leadership. My enthusiasm for innovation is broad, whether it involves running AI models locally for my own home automation or effectively managing complex, business-critical IT environments.

I currently take great pleasure in leading a team of engineers. My philosophy in doing so is simple: people perform best in a safe environment where they feel heard and valued. I prefer an Agile way of working and attach great value to celebrating milestones together as a team.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family as a proud father, and I regularly hop on my road bike, go for a run, or go for a swim.

Team Lead & Software Engineer - ICT Group | 2020 - Present
Within the Managed Services department, I combine leading a team with hands-on engineering for business-critical IT/OT environments. I act as the link to international clients in logistics, industry, and the (semi-)public sector. What I'm proud of? The joint development of environment-specific automation tooling, where I guided the team through the transition to an iterative agile way of working on top of the ITIL foundation. This reduced deployment downtime (from 6 hours to 10 minutes), incident resolution times (from 4 days to 1 day), and operational risks.

Over Mij

Ik ben Chris: een gedreven tech-professional die inhoudelijke IT-kennis goed weet te combineren met verbindend leiderschap. Mijn enthousiasme voor innovatie is breed, of het nu gaat om het lokaal draaien van AI-modellen voor mijn eigen huisautomatisering, of het in goede banen leiden van complexe, businesskritieke IT-omgevingen.

Inmiddels stuur ik met veel plezier een team van engineers aan. Mijn filosofie daarbij is simpel: mensen presteren het best in een veilige omgeving waar zij gehoord en gewaardeerd worden. Ik werk bij voorkeur agile en hecht er waarde aan om mijlpalen als team te vieren.

Buiten werk om breng ik graag als trotse vader tijd door met mijn gezin en spring ik geregeld op de racefiets, ren ik een rondje of duik ik het water in.

Binnen de afdeling Managed Services combineer ik de aansturing van een team met hands-on engineering voor bedrijfskritische IT/OT-omgevingen. Ik fungeer als de schakel naar internationale klanten in de logistiek, industrie en de (semi-)publieke sector. Waar ik trots op ben? De gezamenlijke ontwikkeling van omgevingsspecifieke automatiseringstooling, waarbij ik het team begeleidde in de transitie naar een iteratieve agile werkwijze boven op de ITIL-basis.
